The Energy Modelling Platform for Africa (EMP-A) provides an excellent opportunity to bring together the energy planning and modelling community in Africa and share experiences, models and data in climate, land, energy and water systems. The meeting is jointly organised by ACPC-UNECA, WBG, UNDP, UNDESA, UKAID, UCT, KTH and the OpTIMUS community and a number of African and international partners. It will take place on 14th January to the 31st of January 2019 at the University of Cape Town in South Africa with a high level strategic-dialogue on the 30-31st of January which will be preceded and include presentations from select country participants at the summer school on integrated tools for sustainable development that forms an integral part of EMP-A.
