Mark your calendars for this year’s edition taking place from 18 – 20 May 2026, at the European Commission, CDMA Building, Brussels.
From 18 to 20 May 2026, the Climate Change and Sustainable Energy (CCSE) Partnership will convene a landmark event in Brussels, bringing together researchers, innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders from Europe and Africa. This gathering marks a pivotal moment in the long-term AU-EU collaboration on climate action and sustainable energy, building on the successes of the LEAP-RE and LEAP-SE programs and the broader objectives of Horizon Europe.
Why This Event Matters
The CCSE Partnership is a cornerstone of the AU-EU High-Level Policy Dialogue on Science, Technology, and Innovation, dedicated to advancing renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate resilience. Through programmes like LEAP ENERGY+ and CAPA, the partnership fosters transnational research, capacity-building, and the deployment of innovative solutions to address the dual challenges of climate change and energy access.
What to Expect
Over three days, participants will engage in:
- Kick-off meetings for LEAP ENERGY+ and CAPA, setting the stage for new research and innovation projects.
- Project showcases highlighting breakthroughs in biomass transformation, hydrogen, battery storage, solar energy, agriculture, and electromobility.
- Science and policy dialogues to bridge research outcomes with actionable policy recommendations, ensuring that innovations translate into real-world impact.
- Strategic sessions to define the CCSE Roadmap 2028-2034, operationalising the partnership’s vision for a sustainable, resilient future.
