LEOPARD Organises Training Courses for Mini-Grid Deployment

The mini-grid market has proliferated in recent years, particularly in Africa. This technology is one of the three paths to universal energy access adopted on the continent: the deployment of large-scale power plants, mini-grids, and isolated systems. Mini-grids are a key solution for integrating renewable energies and meeting electrification needs in remote rural areas.

Mini-grid technology is the main technology developed as part of the LEOPARD project. To deepen your knowledge of mini-grid deployment in Africa, the project partners organize 5 online training courses.

These online training courses will focus on the technical fundamentals underpinning this technology, with a strong illustration from the LEOPARD project’s pilot installations. The training is designed for middle managers designing mini-grid projects, installing technicians, and those responsible for basic maintenance at minigrid sites. Stakeholders carrying out mini-grid projects in their localities could also find good decision-making tools.

These training sessions are held in French with the slides in English.
